One of the funniest ads I’ve seen in 15 years
By RickMeasham | November 10, 2007
Occasionally there comes an advertisement so funny that it sticks with you for years. I have two such ads, but both are about 15 years old. So when I was told that “for some reason it made me laugh” I was ready for a chuckle.
Enjoy!
Update
After posting this I’ve been pointed to a whole pile of ‘tributes’. Some are good (X-Factor, Toy Monkey, Smoke on the Water), some are crap (Eastenders, 50-cent) and some are just bleeding fantastic (Angry Monkey).

I enjoyed the facial expressions on the X Factor judges… and I liked the timing of the drums in the ‘Smoke on the Water’ spoof. But I still love the original the best!

Fantastic website – have enjoyed the last hour reading your archives! Still can’t decipher the comment on John Howard?! Had lots of laughs from this ad & then all the spoofs… then shared them all with Michael for another lot of laughs. I’ve forwarded the link to Dad, because he has Nate staying with them at the moment… & since you converted him to being a Smoke on the water fan – he’ll get a great amount of enjoyment from that!
(Also, on your about me page… your hole in the roof has a typo – hold in the roof).
