When I purchase a sealed package from the shelf at the supermarket, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume the package is actually full. I'm sure your Australian recycled cardboard supplier could supply you with a smaller package .. or you could put more of the product in the existing package. It's from the Dominican Republic where the farmers are paid as you rightly point out a Fairtrade price & there's the bonus of being organic. We're fastidious about the quality, taste and of course packaging of Republica products. So as per your scales, the weight is correct. Weights and measures laws are pretty tight. The ACCC will be on to them quicker than a journo with a teenager's mobile phone gallery if the product is underweight. Got to know Ben when playing with "Factory Seconds" and "The Blue Phoenix" at the same venues around Sydney a long time ago. He is a fantastic guitarist and an all round great guy. Either you allow "popular notion" for each word, in which case for almost everyone "God" means a specific kind of entity with very specific characteristics (the details vary person to person but they are almost always specific in some ways). To such common notions of God most atheists would definitely be atheists in that they can argue that such a notion is contradictory. If you let "God" have an idealized meaning then you should also let "Atheism" have an idealized meaning, which is: a lack of belief in a deity. I have recently uploaded 'Sound Asleep' (John Dickson & Ben Shaw, part of In The Silence) to my computer and am listening to it at the moment. Out of curiosity I searched for Ben Shaw, saw he is curator at a church in London, then saw this blog. Can't recall the other band members - maybe the drummer was Jacque? I remember a couple of girls in my youth group were a little besotted with him (hello to Jenny and Karen if you ever read this!! ha ha) What a blast from the past!
